Dreamwidth Tools (Chrome / Firefox)
  • Icon browser for free accounts
  • Batch icon uploader
  • Customizable text insert buttons (I use mine for filters, texting, and [...])
  • Auto-load comment pages which is less useful for RP, but it's there

LJ Juggler (Chrome / Firefox)
  • One-click sign-in for multiple journal accounts for easy switching between character journals. It says LJ but it works for DW and IJ too.

Journal Genie (Chrome)
  • Alternative for LJ Juggler.

Typio Form Recovery (Chrome)
  • Auto-saves text in forms which is useful in cases your browser crashes in the middle of writing a tag, or you accidentally click away. Unfortunately, since Lazarus went away, I don't know a good option for Firefox!
  • Typio is no longer working in Chrome, but you can try this version if you're desperate.

Widescreen Dreamwidth (Stylus, for Chrome / Firefox)
  • View all site pages full-width, for people who are using the default Tropospherical theme
Note: You should stop using Stylish, and use Stylus instead! Stylish started loading their extension with malware.

This was written in an hour, so it's a bit buggy, but it does work so long as you don't have any expired icons. There's probably a few other use cases where this will break, but OH WELL.

As noted in the comments, DW doesn't like it when you rename icons to an existing keyword, so to use this with existing keywords, you'll have to set the script to rename all of your icons to a completely different name/prefix, then rename them again to what you want.
2023/05/09: The script will no longer rename icons that already have a keyword. If you want them renamed/renumbered, you can click the "Clear All" button to clear all icon keywords.

  • First, install Tampermonkey.

  • Click the Tampermonkey icon and select Create a new script...

  • Copy/paste in the following code:

  • Save the code, probably via File > Save. (Ctrl-S may work depending on how recent your version of Tampermonkey is.)

  • Check out your Manage Icons page. The autofill keywords are simple, you can set a little prefix (like a cool symbol) and it'll just be a straight count of numbers.
